Chief Executive Officer and Founding Partner

Jeffrey Beicker has over 35 years of experience in the green field development, construction, and operation of midstream and downstream energy assets. His previous senior leadership roles span 20 years with Shell, Spark Energy and Marlin Midstream. As the President of Marlin Midstream he was an integral part of the team that grew gas processing from a seven mile segment of 12 inch pipe to 300 mmcfd of processing and gathering and an EBITDA of over $20 million. In his role as the Chief Commercial Officer of Spark Energy, he oversaw the growth of EBITDA from $2.5 million to over $70 million in a period of five years. As a senior vice president at Shell he led the power and gas trading groups as well as a power development effort that was responsible for over 3,000 megawatts of installed capacity. His development capital scorecard exceeds $1 billion in combined senior debt facilities, short term debt revolvers and trade finance facilities. This experience is combined with a proven management record in energy trading and risk management including natural gas liquids, power, crude oil, refined products and natural gas. As a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) for several years, he served on numerous NYMEX committees and also consulted for the Chicago Board of Trade. He spent the early years of his career working with Koch, Natural Gas Clearinghouse, Tenaska and Enron. He has been a guest lecturer on energy options and financial and physical energy trading at Rice University, Texas A&M University and the University of Houston. He is an advocate and fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Craig Janies has over 38 years of experience in the North American energy industry. Prior to joining Permico, he served as Vice President of Power Trading and Major Projects at Shell, where he led the East Region North American power trading group. In that role he was responsible for managing physical and financial power trading desks, optimizing an 8,400 MW power generation portfolio, developing new and innovative power product offerings, and working with Shell’s Major Projects Teams to develop optimum power, fuel gas and feedstock solutions for global scale LNG, Gas-To-Liquids manufacturing and shale production plays in North America. Previously, he served as Director of Shell’s Texas midstream assets, which included several hundred miles of gas gathering pipelines, seven gas processing and treating plants, a 22,000 barrel-per-day fractionator, product storage facilities and product pipelines. He also negotiated and managed third party processing, fractionation and treating agreements on behalf of Shell Production and spearheaded the acquisition and divestiture of midstream assets. Prior to Shell, he worked in various capacities for Koch Industries and predecessor companies. Among his accomplishments were originating the concept of market-based rates for the company’s interstate pipeline storage facilities; originating and evaluating projects to debottleneck pipeline assets; leading the effort to restructure Canadian Producer take or pay gas supply agreements and U.S. pipeline and storage contracts; developing an intrastate natural gas pipeline project to serve the Florida market; and optimizing the value of multiple varied pipeline assets by converting them into alternative higher value product service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Ronald Chamness has over 35 years of experience in business development and finance, including 17 years in the energy industry. Prior to joining Permico, he served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at Rock River Resources where he led strategy, operations and business development including relationships with capital partners, crude producers, markets, EPC partners and several rail roads. Prior to Rock River, he was a Managing Director at a Houston investment bank where he executed energy sector financing transactions for upstream, midstream, downstream and energy services companies, as well as renewable project finance transactions in the US and Europe, and several global financial services transactions. In 1999, he co-founded a private equity backed company which the team grew and sold to a strategic investor which resulted in an attractive return for all investors. His duties included strategy, business development and European operations. Following graduate school, he spent 15 years in the management consulting industry where he oversaw corporate re-engineering efforts at HP, Williams Companies and others. He holds a BSME from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Project Construction Coordinator

Michael Sambasile has over 40 years of engineering experience, with emphasis in areas of project management and execution, risk analysis, owner interface, multidiscipline coordination and planning. Prior experience includes working for major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firms in the United States and abroad. His projects varied from lump sum to cost reimbursable contracts and involved activities from preliminary/conceptual design through to commissioning and turn-over to owner’s teams. His experiences involved petrochemical plants, refineries, power plants and most recently on-shore LNG regasification terminals. His experiences include consulting on lender due diligence assessments on large scale hydrocarbon industry projects where he oversaw engineering design, fabrication and construction work, monitored project status and authorized progress payments. He worked on-site in international locations including Mexico, Japan, Malaysia, and Brazil. The international projects included detailed design, procurement of all equipment and bulk materials, construction, commissioning and turn-over activities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska and an EMBA from the University of Houston. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Nebraska, Florida, North Carolina and Alabama and a Registered Structural Engineer in Illinois.

Jordan Fickessen has over 15 years of finance and accounting experience. Prior to her current position, she was a management team member of Emery Refining, LLC with responsibility for leading the finance and accounting functions including financial modeling, treasury and cash management, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, tax management and filing, financial reporting, debt and equity raise support, working capital management, and responsible for writing related standard operating procedures. Additionally, she spent four years with BG Group where her responsibilities included Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Back Office, and Business Project Implementation which led to several global and local assignments including Singapore, Trinidad, UK, Australia, Northeast and Southeast US. Her Singapore experience included the implementation of the Singapore LNG Terminal Aggregator business. She also spent three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denver, CO focusing on investment management and private equity real estate. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.S. in Accounting from Trinity University.
